Acting on the belief that music education is vital to childhood development, Musical Masterworks obtained private foundation support to bring music to under-served areas of New London and Middlesex County at no cost to them. Musical Masterworks’ community involvement program commenced during the 1997-1998 season.

In the past thirteen years, Musical Masterworks has presented over eighty concerts to more than 12,000 students in more than twenty schools, located in New London, Waterford, Old Lyme, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Deep River, Essex, Norwich, and Montville. Artists who have appeared include the Imani Winds, the New England Percussion Ensemble, the Amelia Piano Trio, the Marian Anderson String Quartet, the Chiara String Quartet, the Ritz Chamber Players, and others.

This season, we will bring one of our favorite ensembles, the Imani Winds, to perform three concerts per day, November 7-9, in the New London Schools.
